My wife, Madhumathi, underwent Rafaelo surgery performed by Dr Vani Vijay last Wednesday to treat Grade 3 internal haemorrhoids. The surgery is a minimally invasive, day care surgery. It took 30 minutes, and after 2hours in the recovery room, my wife was cleared for discharge the same evening. After the surgery, Dr Vani and Dr Jayashri met us and explained to us how the surgery went, the follow-up action and the benefits from the surgery. Dr Vani was extremely kind and patient and put us at complete ease. After the surgery, a “WhatsApp” group has been formed comprising the doctors, nutritionist Dr Preet and the patient, and regular follow-up is being done.
I am from a village in Ariyalur district and had been suffering from severe piles and a fissure for a long time. Dr Vani is a gem of a doctor and an expert; her diagnosis, prognosis, curative treatments are unparalleled. But that apart, what would mark an everlasting and deep impact on you is how simple and uncomplicated she makes it for the patient. Her positive, optimistic approach will build tremendous psychological confidence and strength for the patient. She walks and talks “with” the patient and conducts herself as a friend who’s concerned, never once giving the feeling she is a “know it all” medical professional who’s generally instructional. Wish there were more like her in the medical field. Perhaps by far the best we have around in our city and a double thumbs up for her always.

Dr Vani and team were very personable and gracious enough to squeeze in a last minute procedure as I had a tight travel schedule. The staff were friendly and the clinic had a surprisingly good ambience so the wait time didn’t feel as bad. Shows that a lot of thought has been put into the clinic My only feedback would be that the supporting staff be more organized and efficient in terms of prep, getting the documents ready for payment and giving better estimated wait times.
I had a good experience with the colon hydrotherapy service at Mira Hospital. The staff were polite, professional, and made me feel comfortable throughout the procedure.
